EMX100: Eutectic Cold Plates with Evaporator
Eutectic cold plates absorb heat to maintain the product temperature in the truck body, similar to how ice packs absorb heat in a picnic cooler. When the EMX Series system is plugged into dock power, refrigerant passes through tubes to refreeze the eutectic solution in the cold plates after approximately 6-8-hrs for the initial pull down and 4-6-hrs thereafter.
Cold plates are passive evaporator systems that provide superior product holdover protection, compared to mechanical systems that require diesel fuel 100% of the time to keep products fresh.
Evaporator Blower Defrost
The evaporator-blower system is equipped with an automatic defrost cycle that removes frost from the evaporator coil and fins every 4-hours the evaporator-blower is active.
EMX200: Plate Blower with Evaporator
Plate blower compartments on the interior front wall of the truck body contain from 2-4 eutectic plates and recirculating fans to optimize airflow around products. It is ideal for fresh and frozen product needs, and the Johnson exclusive automatic defrost system keeps cold plates frost-free for optimum performance.
EMX200: Auto Defrost
Defrost is hands-free, 100% automatic, reduces weight of excessive ice build-up on cold plates, and eliminates the need for facility water and wastewater discharge.
Automatic defrost keeps cold plates clean and operating at peak performance.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
Johnson’s PLC is the powerful yet flexible command center for the EMX Series, over-the-road systems. The PLC controls all functions that are integral to system operation including managing mobile and facility power, set-point temperature, evaporator-blower operation, and defrost cycles.
EMX Condesing Unit
Johnson uses a high-efficiency scroll condensing unit which involves very low maintenance over many years of service and results in a long life cycle.
EMX Temperature Zones
Multi-temperature configurations maximize space and increase profits. The EMX Series is available in more than one temperature zone, so you can transport medium, frozen, deep frozen, and/or dry goods in separate compartments. The truck body and refrigeration system is designed based on the product access requirements.
EMX Chassis Driven Power Source
The chassis driven power source is the 'over-the-road system' that provides power to operate the ElectriMax Series while the truck is en route.
